Sandy Davison is a second-generation PGA Member who grew up in the golf industry and has over 28years of experience as a PGA golf professional. He is an expert in upscale golf and club operations. He has excelled with the Professional Golfer’s Association of America, having graduated first in his class in the PGA Golf Professional Training Program and also became one of the first 28 PGA golf professionals to complete all 6 levels of the PGA Certified Professional Program. The Certified Professional Program includes a Harvard Mentor Plus curriculum and is equivalent to an advanced college degree. His certifications include General Management, Executive Management, Golf Operations, Ownership/Leasing, Retail and Instruction. Mr. Davison has also been recognized by Golf World Business Magazine as a past winner of the Top 100 Golf Shop Operations in America Awards.
Before joining Bobby Jones Links as the General Manager at The Captain’s Club and Sugarbush Golf Club, Mr. Davison served as a General Manager, Director of Golf, and Head Golf Professional at some of the most prestigious clubs in the United States. He served with Troon Golf and Sage Golf Group, Mystic Creek Golf Club, Atlanta National Golf Club, Superstition Mountain Golf Club, The Club at Carlton Woods, Desert Mountain Club, Baltusrol Golf Club and Paradise Valley Country Club. While serving at these various clubs, he was involved with hosting several PGA TOUR, LPGA and USGA events.
Mr. Davison is an accomplished player, having played as an amateur in the United States Amateur and British Amateur Championships and finishing as Medalist in the prestigious North & South Amateur in Pinehurst, North Carolina. Mr. Davison is also an accomplished teacher, having worked with many Top 100 Instructors, including David Leadbetter, Dave Pelz, Jim Flick, Mike Malaska, Jack Lumpkin and Davis Love Jr.
A native of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, Mr. Davison attended the University of North Florida on a golf scholarship, was a First Team All-American, a member of the 1993 NAIA National Championship team and was inducted into the UNF Athletics Hall of Fame.
For fun, Mr. Davison enjoys riding Harley Davidson motorcycles, watching the Georgia Bulldogs, fishing, hiking, and building model trains. His wife Michelle and their dogs Bear, Yoda, Lucy and Harley are enjoying living in Michigan.

Alex Parry is an accomplished golf professional with ten years of experience in the industry. A lifelong competitor, he played for both his high school and college golf teams before transitioning into coaching and player development.
He is certified in PGA Hope, TPI, Operation 36, U.S. Kids Golf, and the American Development Model, and has experience directing youth programs, including the PGA Junior League. Alex now serves as the Head Golf Professional at The Captain’s Club in Grand Blanc, Michigan, where he leads all instructional programs, player development initiatives, and member engagement.
Known for his passion for teaching and commitment to continual improvement, he takes a personalized, result-driven approach with every student. He is dedicated to helping golfers of all ages and skill levels build confidence, improve performance, and deepen their enjoyment of the game.
Whether guiding beginners, juniors, or competitive players, Alex delivers a high-quality instructional experience grounded in professionalism, integrity, and a genuine love for golf.

Garth Hurley grew up in Northeastern Michigan where his parents owned some businesses, a construction company and an automotive service center. From 2008, He spent most of his time working for his family’s companies as either a laborer/foreman or as a mechanic.
In late 2016, Garth moved west to North Dakota where he worked various oil field positions for Aveda Transportation and Well Drilling. During 2019, he had the opportunity to transfer to Alaska where he worked on the north slope near Prudhoe Bay as an operator assembling and disassembling drilling rigs from various locations.
After relocating back to Michigan full time in 2022, Garth wanted a family friendlier job. He started a position as a golf course mechanic at the Coyote Preserve Golf Course. During his time at the Preserve, he was promoted to an Assistant Superintendent role where he managed the property irrigation system.
In Late 2025, Garth started at the Sugarbush Golf Club as a mechanic. He oversaw maintenance on the equipment for both Sugarbush Golf Club and The Captain’s Club. Garth currently holds the Superintendent position at The Captain’s Club and Event Center where he manages the maintenance operations and irrigation to the property.
Outside of work, Garth enjoys quality time with his family on occasional family trips or a sport event. Garth loves the outdoors, going camping with family, and riding ATV’s in his spare time.

Kerri Bowlby began her career in the wedding and event industry after graduating from the University of Michigan-Flint in 2004. Shortly after graduation, she relocated to Hilton Head Island, where she worked as an Independent Wedding Coordinator with Amanda Rose Weddings, gaining valuable experience in luxury wedding planning and client relations.
After returning to Michigan, Kerri joined The Captain’s Club Golf & Event Center in 2009, where she quickly became a respected leader in the wedding and events industry. During her tenure, the venue was honored with The Knot & WeddingWire’s “Best of Weddings” award consecutively from 2011 through 2019, recognizing excellence in service and client experience.
Following a brief time away, Kerri returned to The Captain’s Club in 2023 as Director of Sales, overseeing event bookings for both The Captain’s Club Golf & Event Center and Sugarbush Golf Club. She is passionate about creating memorable experiences for every client and takes pride in guiding couples, families, and organizations through every step of the planning process. Kerri especially enjoys helping newly engaged couples envision their dream wedding at each venue and bringing those visions to life.
Outside of work, Kerri enjoys spending time with her husband Marc, their son Wyatt, and their dog Sunny.

Mark Frank is a seasoned culinary professional with over 33 years in the hospitality industry. Mark started his culinary journey at the side of his mother as a young child and won “Best of Show” Baked Exhibit at the Tuscola County Fair at the age of 8 for his Springerle entry.
He started working as a dishwasher at Zehnder’s of Frankenmuth when he was 16 years old and immediately fell in love with the energy and the hustle and bustle of a professional kitchen. Upon turning 18, Mark was immediately promoted to a cook and continued working his way through college on weekends, during summer breaks, and during holidays. After college, he was offered the position of Head Chef and eventually became the Corporate Head Chef, serving for more than 21 years at Zehnder’s. He obtained his Certified Executive Chef certification through the ACF in 2013.
In 2014, Mark began another phase of his hospitality career working for a private club as the Executive Chef of The Saginaw Club. Eventually he was also promoted to the General Manager as well as Executive Chef of The Saginaw Club, serving there for 8+ years. Mark has now been with The Captain’s Club for a little over a year as the Executive Chef.
Mark is the 4th generation to own and live on his family farm. It has been in his family for 127 years this year. In his downtime, he is very active with his church, currently serving as Chairman of the Congregation, and serving in the past as an Elder and Trustee. He also enjoys golfing, watching golf, watching the Tigers & Lions, doing yard work, woodworking, and spending time with his loved ones.

Brandon is in his first year as the Assistant Golf Professional and second year overall at The Captains Club. Prior to joining the Captains Club team, he was the Area Manager overseeing 61 different Sportsbooks throughout Northern Nevada for Caesars Entertainment. A diehard Michigan professional sports fan, he played college basketball at Marquette University before finishing at the University of Detroit-Mercy. He is also the reigning Flint City Best Ball champion!
Brandon brings extensive understanding of the golf swing with a focus on short game knowledge. He enjoys teaching the game, working with others and flashes a love for Golf that is easy to detect when having discussions with him. Born and raised in Flint, Michigan, when not working, Brandon can be found enjoying as much Golf as possible, as well as watching any sports that may be available.

Barb built her career in event-driven hospitality, she dedicated over 8 years at the Birch Run Expo Center. There, Barb held many roles from F&B Manager to Promoter and Event Coordinator, organizing everything from trade shows and concerts to weddings, charity dinners and political events. She oversaw every detail, from vendor coordination to guest services and on-site execution. During her time as promoter, she also created and built the Mid-Michigan Super Mom2Mom Sale, which grew into the largest event of its kind in Mid-Michigan. Over six years and 25 events, Barb managed all aspects of the event from concept and marketing and promotion to vendor coordination and planning, attar people from across the state.
After that, Barb took several years off to focus on my family. She was there during her children Colton and Emma’s proudest and most memorable moments. Once that chapter settled, Barb joined the Captain’s Club in March of 2025, eager to bring experience, creativity and passion for flawless event execution back to the forefront. Whether it’s a quiet weekend or a bustling event, Barb is energized by the people she loves and the vibrant events she gets to help create. Outside of work, Barb cherishes time with her family and loves spoiling her grand pup, Teddy.

Madelyn Drake is the Wedding Coordinator at the Captain’s Club! As an enthusiastic event professional with a genuine passion for bringing people together, she specializes in creating thoughtful, memorable events that reflect each client’s unique vision.
With her bachelor’s degree in hospitality & tourism management from Grand Valley State University, she has had the pleasure of working within beautiful venues across Michigan. From creative event design to thoughtful coordination and seamless day-of execution, she utilizes her dynamic experience to warmly guide her couples through the planning process and manage every day-of detail, ensuring each celebration feels effortless and unforgettable.
When she is not in wedding mode, Madelyn loves spending time with her loved ones and enjoys traveling, skiing, writing, graphic design, and music. She is very excited for this season!

She is dedicated to providing an excellent customer experience to all guests and she takes pride in leading with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

In 2026, Darian proudly stepped into the role of Banquet Captain, where he brings strong leadership, professionalism, and a positive, team-focused attitude to every event he oversees. He takes pride in creating organized, memorable, and high-quality experiences that leave lasting impressions on guests and clients alike.
As a 2025 graduate from Grand Blanc, Michigan, he combines a strong work ethic with an approachable and friendly personality. His drive for perfection and passion for hospitality continue to motivate him as he grows within the industry and strives to exceed expectations every day. Derian has a passion for sports and is a talented basketball player.

Sydney Coppola is the Banquet Captain at The Captains Club, where she oversees the execution of a wide range of events, including weddings, proms, bridal showers, and rehearsal dinners. With a passion for hospitality and a keen eye for detail, she is dedicated to creating seamless, memorable experiences for every guest.
She is a graduate of Michigan State University, where she earned her degree in Advertising Management in May 2025. Sydney brings a strong background in communication, organization, and client relations to her role. Her professional approach is complemented by her creative mindset, allowing her to tailor each event to reflect the unique vision of her clients.
Having grown up around the game of golf, Sydney feels a natural connection to the course and takes pride in contributing to an environment that brings people together for life’s most meaningful moments. She is known for her hands-on management style, positive energy, and commitment to excellence in every detail.
