Raymond Floyd Signature Design

The Captain’s Club takes its name from the 1989 Ryder Cup Captain, Raymond Floyd. Floyd’s decades-spanning golf career includes wins at the Masters Tournament (1976), U.S. Open (1986), and PGA Championship (1969 & 1982). He was also inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 1989.

Our 18-hole course is more than just named after Raymond Floyd; it was also designed by him and his team. Bringing his years of experience from different courses around the world, Floyd took a hands-on approach to the design and layout of our course, which covers areas of both Genesee and Oakland counties.

Course construction was completed in 1993, with our golf operations starting in a small trailer and expanding with our clubhouse being finished in 1997. The clubhouse included public access to a full restaurant, bar, and event venue.
